Date of Birth:
September 09, 1983
Birth Place:
Reading, Berkshire, England
Biography:
Growing up in the modest village of Southend, Berkshire, there’s no way Pippa Middleton could have imagined she’d be in the position she is today. It wasn’t until the mid-‘90s that Party Pieces, a mail-order party-supply company started by her mother and father -- a former flight attendant and air traffic controller, respectively -- would turn her family into millionaires. And as millionaires so often do, the Middleton’s moved to the far posher Berkshire village of Bucklebury. Before landing at the University of Edinburgh to study English literature, Pippa attended St. Andrew's School in Pangbourne, then the girl’s boarding school Downe House and finally Marlborough College.
Ever since Pippa Middleton’s older sister, Kate, began dating Prince William, Pippa’s profile in the British media and around the world began to steadily rise. Painted by some as a voracious social climber with an insatiable appetite for attention, Pippa began surrounding herself with Britain’s elite. As a student at the University of Edinburgh, she moved in with George Percy, eldest son of the Duke of Northumberland, and Ted Innes-Ker, one of the Duke of Roxburghe's son, an aristocrat with strong ties to the royal family. Both Pippa and Kate’s unwavering social ambition earned them the nickname “The Wisteria Sisters,” an unflattering term referring to their perceived ulterior motives when it comes to friendship. After graduating, Pippa moved into a luxe Chelsea flat with her sister, and became a mainstay both on the London party scene and in the tabloids, where writers were quick to proclaim Pippa the foxier of the two.
